Il Bisonte

Il Bisonte is rooted in Florence, where leather has been part of the city’s visual and artisanal language for centuries. Founded in 1970 by Wanny Di Filippo, the house has built its identity around an uncompromising approach to craftsmanship, natural materials and designs that are made to acquire character rather than lose it. At the heart of the collection is vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather, selected for its depth, texture and ability to change with time. Bags and small leather goods are shaped by traditional Florentine workmanship, with a quietly utilitarian spirit that gives even the most considered pieces an easy, lived-in quality. There is little interest in novelty here. Il Bisonte makes objects intended to accompany their owners for years, developing a warmer patina, softer feel and increasingly personal character along the way. It is Italian leather craft at its most authentic: understated, tactile and built for a life beyond the season.
